DC Movie Club is bringing Film Takes on Tap: Spooky Edition to Hook Hall for a night of film deep dives, drinks, conversation, and a special Halloween screening of the 1992 cult classic Death Becomes Her.

Come early. Grab a drink. Learn something weirdly specific about movies. Stay for the film.

Tonight's Film Takes

Two presenters. Two very different trips into the spooky side of cinema.

“Please Put Your Helmets Back On: A Caving Movie Deep Dive”

Followed by:

“Richard Matheson: Godfather of Horror”

Each presentation runs for about 15 minutes, followed by a short Q&A. Ask questions. Debate the takes. Find your fellow movie nerds.

Then, We Watch

After the presentations, we'll take a quick break to refill drinks and give our presenters the praise they deserve.

Then it's movie time.

We'll end the night with a special Halloween screening of Robert Zemeckis' 1992 classic:

DEATH BECOMES HER

Spooky? Yes. Campy? Absolutely. An appropriate way to spend the Thursday before Halloween? You know the answer.
